Meeting #3: Engaging the Community on their Feedback

On October 24, 2018, over 375 people attended LCPL’s third community meeting at the Small Arms Building in Mississauga. This 20,000 sq. ft. empty space was converted into a fully immersive, interactive experience with virtual reality, large visual rendering, a Lakeview Square with local food vendors, digital versions of the DMP, interactive feedback opportunities and more.
Members from the LCPL Design Team presented key highlights, followed by an open engagement session at the various stations: Built Form, Streets & Mobility, Sustainability, Parks, Pier & Waterfront, Programming & Placemaking and the Development Master Plan. Each station included questions to inspire, gather feedback and allow for idea sharing between the community and the Design Team.
