Ryan Longo
A SCULPTURAL CENTREPIECE

“The Light Within” stands 15 feet tall twisting towards the sky in a dance of gravity defying curves, its multicolour light shining and pulsing from within. It is self-powered by the array of solar panels stylized into gigantic wire frame leaves.

"Art is important in community building because it fills the blank spots with magic and wonder. This helps define the community of who it is, and gives it something to inspire and propel themselves into the future."

- Ryan Longo, Sculptor

Behind the Scenes: Painters, muralists & sculpturists in action

Journey from forest to water; soar through the sky into a field of sunflowers; reflect on the meaning of A Dish with One Spoon; stand in awe of a glistening sculpture on the hill; see a creative land acknowledgment. This is the art of placemaking.
